Some songs come from a place so pure, so full of love, that the music almost writes itself. "One Love Changes Everything" is one of those songs.
I wrote it during one of the most transformative moments of my life — the birth of my grandson! Watching my daughter become a mother for the first time was its own kind of miracle. The profound awe — I wanted to capture all of it. But when my grandson finally arrived, something even deeper happened.
His very existence changed me. He didn't have to do anything at all — just by being, he gave my life a new sense of meaning, a new purpose. It felt as though the entire world had shifted into light — becoming softer, more sacred. Love, in its purest form, had taken root, and everything — everything — looked different because of it.
"One Love Changes Everything" is my way of honoring that moment, that feeling. It's a song about how just one life, one heart, can ripple outward and transform the world around it.
To make this song even more special, it became a true family creation:
My son Bryon William Harris — whose voice brings a heartfelt sincerity to every note — is the featured vocalist.
And my son Miles plays the incredible guitar solo.
One of my favorite touches in "One Love Changes Everything" is the subtle incorporation of "Amazing Grace" into the song. When my daughter became a mother, she would often sing "Amazing Grace" as a lullaby — a simple, timeless melody carrying comfort and hope. Including it in the song felt natural, almost necessary. But it also carried a deeper meaning for me: Because sometimes, before a love like this enters your life, you can be blind to just how extraordinary life truly is It’s easy to move through the world without seeing its breathtaking beauty.
"One Love Changes Everything" is not just a song — it’s a snapshot of a heart expanding beyond what it thought was possible. It’s a reminder that the greatest changes in life don’t come from power, profession, or possession — they come from love. Simple, undeniable, life-altering love.
